The Johnson's Second Chance Staffing (JSCS) Team, including our CEO, Board of Directors and Staff, are highly-trained, experienced and dedicated to the success of JSCS.

 

Our motto:  even though you've made mistakes, some that might be more serious than others, never give up because there is always another chance for you.  Failure is not falling down, but staying down after the fall and never taking that second chance.

Bryan Johnson received his Associates of Arts (AA) degree in Business Administration from CW Post.  However, a series of bad choices landed him a 7 ½ year prison sentence.  After being released, he ran into challenges securing gainful employment.  Over a period of time, Mr. Johnson worked in various industries being overworked and underpaid.  Time after time he was told “no” or “we don’t hire felons”. These negative job seeking experiences and low wage paying jobs were the driving force that motivated Mr. Johnson to become interested in the judicially served population. After much exploration, he knew that he had to help that demographic by doing something to make a difference in their lives; he had to impact recidivism. Mr. Johnson began praying about the matter and received instruction from God to open up opportunities of gainful employment for others.  He set out to learn as much as he could about the staffing industry and even worked for a staffing company.  Later, Johnson’s Second Chance Staffing was born!

Donna Nealy is a North Carolina native and the owner of ESTEEM, A Total Transformation, a non-profit health and wellness organization with two locations respectively in Winston-Salem and Greensboro, NC.  Donna received both her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and her Master of Science in Sport Studies degrees from High Point University, High Point, NC.  She is currently pursuing her Ph.D in Human Services from Capella University.  She has 30+ years of accounting experience (including non-profit accounting).  She brings a wealth of non-profit knowledge and business experience to the Johnson’s Second Chance Staffing Board of Directors. 

 

Donna is an ordained minister and holds the following certifications: personal trainer and a nutritional and Eating God’s Way consultant.  She is a wellness coach, an OCB and NPC physique competitor as well as a mother of four and grandmother of eight.

A 16-year resident of Harrisburg, PA, Kevin is married to the lovely Tina Parker and they have four sons. In 2011, Kevin accepted the call to become a minister of the gospel. In 2013, he was licensed to preach the gospel and became an Associate Minister at Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Harrisburg. He is currently enrolled at Liberty University where he is matriculating for his Master of Arts in Theological Studies – Biblical Cognate. Kevin also works for Comcast Business where he is a Sr. Strategic Enterprise Account Executive selling Metro Ethernet Fiber solutions. He enjoys teaching Adult Sunday School and New Members classes at the church. He also enjoys spending time with friends and family, and playing pool.  He is excited to be a part of such a worthy cause on the board of Johnson’s Second Chance Staffing and looks forward to being a blessing to many of the clients we service.

Kerra Shavon Gibson, secretary of JSCS, was born and raised in Raleigh NC. She is a Sanderson High school Alumni and currently is pursuing a Business Degree. When she is not in school or volunteering for JSCS she is functioning as a caretaker for family. She has extensive experience in customer service, marketing, hospitality, photography and web designing.

Alex Ricketts is a native of Connecticut, but has spent most of his life in the south. He has a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Western Carolina University.  Mr. Ricketts is the founder of a non-profit organization, The Next Level of the Triad. He is also co-host of the radio show “Bridging the Gap Two Brothers and a Mic”, a talk show focused on educating and informing the community.  He is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a 19 year veteran of the Greensboro Police Department.

Born in Santiago, Panama.  Mateo attended Old Dominion University while serving in the U.S. Navy, thus obtaining his BSMT and MPH.  After he was released from the U.S. Navy, he attended medical school at Windsor University School of Medicine.  Mateo is now a physician at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Wake-Med Health & Hospitals.

Elder John Jennings is a native of North Carolina. He is a veteran who served in the US Army for 4 years and was honorably discharged as a specialist 4.  Elder Jennings furthered his education through USC, Clemson and Purdue Universities where he studied Pest Control and Technology and Entomology. In July of 2000, Elder Jennings became a licensed and ordained minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ.  He also leads bible studies and seminars, and teaches a course to prison inmates.  John has five (5) lovely daughters and several grandchildren.  Elder Jennings is currently President/CEO of Favar Enterprises and Favar Ministries, and serves as Volunteer Chaplain at the Mecklenburg County Jail and oversees several transitional homes in Charlotte, NC.

Born on the U.S. territory in the Republic of Panama, Michellie decided at a young age that she was going to come to the United States of America as soon as she graduated from high school. She arrived in the U.S.A. approximately 32 years ago, and enlisted in the U.S. Navy after only being in America 8 months.  She proudly served 4 years and was Honorably Discharged as an E-4 Interior Communications Electronic Technician.  After serving in the military she worked in the private sector before going back to work for the U.S. Federal Government.  She’s currently employed by the Social Security Administration as a Bilingual (Spanish) Social Insurance Specialist and has been a public servant for over 25 years.  She is also a loving mother of 8 beautiful children.   Her faith in God has always guided her over the years, which is why she strongly believes that her involvement with JSCS is another opportunity to serve.

Once people enter the justice system through jail or prison, probation or parole with a felony or misdemeanor, it is not uncommon for them to face challenges and injustice once they’ve paid their debt to society.  Ms. Cameron’s passion and assignment in life is to help people.  She helps those who are judicially served as well as their children and families.  As VP of operations for JSCS, she is not simply helping people obtain jobs, but rather helping the “Whole” person ~ Mentally, Spiritually, Emotionally, Physically and Financially. 

There is no one way to help everyone, that’s why she's open to diversity, change and accepting one’s differences by meeting each person where they are at the present.

Ms. Cameron’s educational background includes a current Psychology Ph.D. candidate, an MSA in Health Administration and a BS in Business Management.  She is responsible for the organizations overall operations, management, budget, development, conferences, special events, consulting, training and education, including day to day technical activities associated with administration, logistics and personnel.  Responsibilities also include creating and implementing policies and procedures, identifying and developing strategic opportunities to leverage services related to JSCS.

Cameron has over 15 years’ experience in operational management. She has held various roles in which she has provided continuous improvements in public service. Ms. Cameron loves to travel and enjoys concerts.  She has two loving sons that she adores. Cameron serves as a Council Chair for the United Methodist Church, a member of the Order of Eastern Star, a member of Student American Counseling Association and a volunteer and companion for the elderly.

Jasmine Johnson is the Marketing Manager at JSCS. She has been in the customer service business for more than 6yrs and currently is focusing on resource management. In 2014 she graduated with a Associates of Science in Business Administration. Growing up in small indigent town in Pennsylvania, she developed a passion to help others. This passion was driven by witnessing individuals who wanted to build a better life for themselves but didn't have the means to do so. As a member of the Johnson's Second Chance Staffing team, she excited to be a participant in meeting those needs
